- As a patient of Stoke Mandeville hospital, you and your visitors have completely free access to our onsite Patient Concierge service, here to assist you with all your non-medical needs during your time with us.
- Whilst your recovery and wellbeing are your number one focus, we understand you might have additional worries or tasks on your mind that you’re unable to carry out whilst you’re in care. Patient Concierge are on hand to relieve you of these worries, and help make your time at Stoke Mandeville as comfortable as possible.
- Once you’re settled in, the Patient Concierge team will introduce themselves and the service to you, and answer any questions you might have on how we can assist you.

We’re here every day to provide a variety of services to support you and your visitors while you are at Stoke Mandeville
Whether you need some personal shopping items, would like to send a gift to a relative or friend, want some help organising a hotel for your visitors, or would simply enjoy some company, Patient Concierge is here for you.
Our services include, but are not limited to those listed below:
- Company and conversation
- Errand running and shopping – on and off-site collection service
- Personal care, such as hairdressers and beauticians
- Gift purchasing and wrapping services
- Events & classes
- Bedside assistance – organising paperwork / clothing / toiletries
- Everyday assistance for family household issues – eg, organising a plumber to fix a broken boiler, arranging home pet care etc – UK wide service
- Organise gifts and experiences for special occasions for family and friends
- Assist with online shopping and delivery arrangements
- Assistance with filling in forms and taking notes whilst on calls to local authorities and agencies
- Assist with Lost and found items
Here for your visitors
We know this can be an emotional and stressful time for friends and family as well as yourself, and our Patient Concierge service extends to your visitors whilst they are spending time with you in the hospital.
- There may be times when someone needs to find local accommodation in order to be near to you, or need to arrange transport to and from the hospital
- Our team are experts in local knowledge, and can help relieve your visitors of any additional time-consuming tasks, so they can just focus on being with you.
NOTE: The onsite Patient Concierge team make regular ward rounds, between the hours of 10am – 2pm, Monday – Friday.
