Motoring and Mobility (1 Day)
This new training course, which has been developed in association with Motability and the UK Forum of Mobility Centres, is aimed at people who are new to driving following a spinal cord injury or thinking of changing their vehicle due to changed needs. Course participants will be equipped with information on the following topics:
- Getting a car through the Motability scheme and the pros and cons.
- Choosing and adapting a vehicle
- Learning to drive an adapted vehicle
- Tax and VAT exemptions and insurance
- The Blue Badge Scheme
The course will be held throughout the country at Mobility Centres providing participants the opportunity to experience first-hand the types of vehicle available.
