NOTE: We are now offering our Family and Friends events as both online and face to face options. So you will be able to meet us (and other patients’ family and friends) in person if you prefer. Contact us for details – see below!!
The aim of the event is to help relatives and friends of NSIC patients to understand spinal cord injury and how best to cope with it, both at home and in the community.
  • We recommend that you prepare for the day by going through the relevant material available on this website – this will help you to get familiar with issues such as Bladder Care, Bowel care, Wheelchairs or Physiotherapy.
    • During the morning you will have the chance to talk with some discharged patients and their relatives online – a great opportunity to ask them anything you need to know and receive practical advice on living with spinal cord injury.
    • Please let us know as soon as possible if you want to attend a session, so that we know you want to take part.
    • Please mention your name, patient’s name, your relationship and their level of injury.
