SCI Centres will have differing rehabilitation programmes, but each will focus on encouraging the injured person to take responsibility for their own care, and to acknowledge their strengths and needs, rather than their weaknesses or disability.
There may be days when your relative feels that they can’t cope with every new challenge they meet.
Don’t worry and be encouraging!
Tasks can be broken down into small, more easily achieved parts that can eventually enable someone to perform a job that may have seemed impossible at the beginning.
