About SCI

What is SCI?
SCI stands for Spinal Cord Injury – The spinal cord is responsible for communicating two way messages to and from the brain to all areas of the body – your muscles, organs and skin.

A spinal cord injury (SCI) occurs when the spinal cord is damaged through illness or injury.
This interrupts the messages to and from the brain, leading to partial or full loss of movement in parts of your body.

Education is currently the primary approach used to help prevent complications and promote health for those with a spinal cord injury.

Information about SCI is plentiful and readily available all over the internet, but still does not seem to be trusted or thought relevant to most people, who want information directed to them.

Stay up to date here, and be confident you are in tune with the latest information about Spinal Cord Injury.
