Sensory neurones
Sensory neurones are nerves that take information from either the outside world, or from within the body, and pass it to the brain.
The brain uses this information to help us to identify and distinguish between different sensations, in order to react appropriately.
The nerves respond to:
- Pressure
- Pain
- Light touch
- Crude touch
- Vibration
- Temperature
- Body position
Motor neurones
Motor neurones control the actions of the skeletal muscles, glands, and other organs of the body.
